Limpyo San Enrique 2023

In a proactive environmental initiative, Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. arrived in San Enrique, Iloilo, to support the town’s synchronized efforts, Limpyo San Enrique and Tanum San Enrique, under the IBAPAKA program (Isang Bayan Para sa Kalikasan).

Mayor Rosario Mediatrix Fernandez spearheaded the activity, aligning with Gov. Defensor’s projects, Limpyo Iloilo and Tanum Iloilo, emphasizing environmental stewardship.

Various groups, including municipal employees, barangay volunteers, socio-civic organizations, and the community, actively participated in the town-wide clean-up.

Gov. Defensor participated in a ceremonial tree planting in Brgy. Compo’s upland area, supporting Tanum San Enrique’s ambitious goal of planting 25,000 seedlings daily.

Expressing gratitude, Gov. Defensor commended Mayor Fernandez and officials for their pivotal role in this crucial environmental endeavor.

Fourth District Board Member Rolly Distura graced the launch of Limpyo San Enrique at the Municipal Hall alongside Gov. Defensor.

Simultaneously, Atty. Cesar Emmanuel Buyco, Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO) chief, and his team actively participated in both activities, highlighting the importance of collaborative environmental efforts.

This collective initiative signifies a concerted effort toward environmental preservation, with leaders and community members alike dedicated to fostering a greener and cleaner San Enrique.
