San Enrique, Iloilo — The Municipality of San Enrique marked a significant milestone on September 30, 2024, with the blessing and formal turnover of the NHA Housing Project, known as San Enriqueville, along with the newly established LGU Motorpool in Barangay Cabugao Viejo.
This much-anticipated event was graced by local government officials, community leaders, and residents, highlighting the collaborative efforts that made these projects possible. The housing project, spearheaded by the National Housing Authority (NHA) in partnership with the local government unit (LGU) of San Enrique, aims to provide decent and affordable homes to deserving families.
A total of 34 fortunate beneficiaries were awarded their own housing units, a life-changing opportunity that promises better living conditions and greater stability. These families expressed their gratitude, acknowledging the support and dedication of the LGU and NHA in making their dream of homeownership a reality.
“We are beyond thankful for this blessing. Having a home of our own is a dream come true,” said one of the beneficiaries during the turnover ceremony.
In addition to the housing project, the inauguration of the LGU Motorpool represents a significant step toward improving the municipality’s infrastructure and service capabilities. The motorpool will house and maintain the LGU’s fleet of service vehicles, ensuring more efficient delivery of public services.
San Enrique Mayor Rosario Mediatrix P. Fernandez expressed her pride and joy in seeing these projects come to life. “These initiatives reflect our commitment to uplifting the lives of our constituents and enhancing the services we provide. We will continue striving for progress and development in our beloved municipality,” she stated.
The blessing and turnover ceremony concluded with a festive atmosphere, as families, officials, and community members celebrated this remarkable achievement together. With the success of San Enriqueville and the LGU Motorpool, the town takes yet another step forward in its mission to build a brighter, more prosperous future for all San Enriquenhons.
