Dingle, Iloilo — July 15, 2025. Mayor Nonoy Niño Fernandez was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation during the 40th Founding Anniversary of the Tactical Operations Group 6 (TOG 6) of the Philippine Air Force, held at the 301st Brigade Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Gen. Adriano D. Hernandez.
The certificate was presented in recognition of Mayor Fernandez’s selfless dedication and unwavering support to the Philippine Air Force. His steadfast commitment has played a vital role in the success of TOG 6’s operations and community-centered endeavors. His recognition stands as a testament to the importance of strong partnerships between the military and local government units.
The event was graced by BGen Moises L. Micor PAF, Wing Commander of Tactical Operations Wing Central, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He delivered a rousing message that honored the bravery, professionalism, and relentless service of TOG 6 personnel over the past four decades.
With the theme “TOG 6 at 40: Strengthening Air Power in Western Visayas through Mission Focus, Capability Enhancement, and Core Values,” the anniversary celebration highlighted TOG 6’s continued excellence in both military and humanitarian operations.
Led by Group Commander COL Simon R. Medroso PAF (GSC), the event also featured the presentation of awards to distinguished personnel and stakeholders who have contributed significantly to the unit’s mission readiness and community outreach.
TOG 6 has long been a pillar of air power in Western Visayas—known not only for its operational competence but also for its proactive role in disaster response, civic action, and nation-building.
